Our Mission Statement:

We, of Garifuna Settlement Day Group, a non-profit tax exempt organization, propose to teach the Garifuna People to protect and preserve our history and our cultural heritage which includes our folklore, music and dance and through our activities we intend to educate and involve the public at large.

Our Business

We have existed from 1962 and have made many inroads.  We have achieved many decades of good work in the communities in which we serve.

Who We Are

 Since the early sixties,  our founders   decided it was time to celebrate 19th November here in Los Angeles.  It was not as elaborate as is now but they laid the frame work of what is known today The Garifuna Settlement Day Group.  We are very proud of our achievements in spite of all the problems associated with it.
